Bart Rush

Pastor Bart has served on the Libertas Academy Board since 2020 and has called Calaveras County home since 1967. He and his wife, Tina, met at Calaveras High School and have been married for more than 47 years. They have an adult daughter, an adult foster son, and three grandchildren.

Bart brings decades of experience in pastoral ministry and Christian education to the Board. He spent 13 years teaching and serving in Christian schools and another 18 years tutoring homeschool students in English and mathematics. Since 1990, he has served as Senior Pastor of Mountain Christian Fellowship in Murphys, providing long-term spiritual leadership to families throughout the community.

His background in ministry, education, and discipleship gives Bart a valuable perspective on the spiritual formation of students and the partnership between parents, church, and school. He is especially passionate about helping parents fulfill their responsibility to disciple their children and about ensuring that Libertas Academy remains firmly rooted in its Christian mission.
